“Get Hooked” – The Baitshop

The guys over at the Baitshop Skateshop were moving ahead on a print advertising campaign but wanted to do something that was a little ‘outside’ of the box, something non-traditional in the skate advertising world, something that would engage their audience and educate them about the shop and the team. This lead to the concept: Get Hooked. The whole advertising campaign started from that one simple statement.

The logo for the brand is simple, a fish hook. By interpreting their customers, consumers and followers as being fish, we went ahead and did what any good fisherman would do; bait your hook and get fishing. We started off with photographs of the team riders. The finished results were some stellar photographs taken by Toronto photographer Brendan Smyth and then laid out and put into print in all of Canada’s major national skateboard magazines.
